On April 11, 2026, the Iligan City Esplanade became a lively venue for environmental action as volunteers gathered for a Mangrove Tree Planting Activity. The shoreline was filled with participants from different sectors of Iligan City—students, barangay representatives, local government offices, civic organizations, and community members—all united in caring for the coast.
Iligan Medical Center College was among the participants, with its students and staff actively planting mangrove seedlings along the area. Their presence highlighted the school’s commitment to sustainability and community involvement, showing that education also means taking part in real efforts to protect the environment.
