Iligan City, Philippines | October 19, 2026 – For nearly a decade, the Iligan Medical Center College (IMCC) College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) has proudly upheld its tradition of excellence through active participation in KUMBIRA, one of the region’s most prestigious culinary and hospitality competitions. Year after year, IMCC CHTM has demonstrated outstanding talent, professionalism, and dedication, consistently striving for the highest honors.

Today, that tradition continues. The IMCC College of Hospitality and Tourism Management proudly celebrates its Silver Award in the Table Setting Competition (Student Category) at KUMBIRA 2026, a remarkable achievement earned through the creativity, skill, perseverance, and teamwork of our talented student representatives, Novie, Larie, and Mary Grace.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our students, whose passion for excellence enabled them to showcase their capabilities on a competitive regional stage. Their success reflects not only individual talent but also the strong culture of learning, discipline, and professionalism fostered within the IMCC CHTM community. The College likewise extends its sincere appreciation to Doc Keena O. Lagtapon, Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, whose steadfast leadership, vision, and unwavering support continue to inspire students and faculty to pursue excellence in every endeavor.

Special recognition is also given to Miss Jessa Capangpangan for accompanying and mentoring the participants throughout their KUMBIRA journey, providing invaluable guidance and encouragement from preparation to competition day. The College further expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Sheila Marie Zuñiga, Atty.
