Rising Above: IMCC Shines at YLA 2025
August 16, 2025

“Expect the best, prepare for the worst, and make the most of what comes.”
This powerful mantra echoed through the halls of Iligan Medical Center College – Basic Education Department as its talented students took center stage at the YAPIS Literary and Arts (YLA) 2025 competition. And shine they did.

Congratulations to our proud IMCCIANS for their stellar performances that brought home not just awards, but honor, inspiration, and a renewed sense of pride for the entire IMCC community.

Victories Worth Celebrating:

  • Sabayang Pagbigkas2nd Place (Silver 🥈)
  • Sayawit3rd Place (Bronze 🥉)

These achievements are more than just medals—they are the fruits of relentless practice, creative expression, and a deep commitment to excellence.

Behind Every Triumph: Our Dedicated Coaches

  • Sabayang Pagbigkas was masterfully guided by Ms. Dela Cerna, whose passion for spoken word and discipline in performance helped the team deliver a powerful, unified voice.
  • Sayawit, a fusion of dance and song, was brought to life under the artistic direction of Mr. Caling, Ms. Cabudoy, and Ms. Valdez. Their choreography and musical insight turned raw talent into a captivating performance.

A Legacy of Passion and Perseverance
These wins are not just about rankings—they’re about the journey. The late-night rehearsals, the shared laughter and nerves, the moments of doubt turned into triumph. Each student who stood on that stage carried the hopes of their peers, mentors, and school with pride.

To the IMCC Basic Education Department: your dedication, creativity, and resilience have once again proven that greatness is not just achieved—it’s earned.

Padayon, IMCCIANS! Laban hanggang dulo!
Let this be a spark for future victories, and a reminder that with heart and hard work, every challenge becomes a stage for greatness
