IMCC-Basic Education Career Guidance Day Celebration 2026
The Iligan Medical Center College – Basic Education Department (IMCC-BED) Guidance Services Office successfully conducted its Career Guidance Day Celebration on March 3, 2026, with the theme “Career Clarity and Mental Resilience: A Balanced Approach for a Better Future.” The event aimed to inspire students to develop a clear vision for their future careers while strengthening their mental resilience in facing life’s challenges and opportunities.
The morning program was held at the IMCC-BED Campus and began with an opening prayer led by Peer Facilitators, Ms. Amelia Nuico and Mr. Mohammed Ryan Sarip. This was followed by the opening remarks delivered by Mr. Gian Angelo G. Besa, Guidance Facilitator of the IMCC-BED Guidance Services Office. In his message, Mr. Besa emphasized the importance of developing career clarity and mental resilience as essential foundations for a successful future. He also highlighted the significance of respecting various professions and recognizing the value each career contributes to society.
One of the highlights of the morning activity was the Career Attire Parade, where Kindergarten to Grade 12 students proudly showcased outfits representing different professions. This was followed by the Career Presentations, where they shared insights and aspirations about their chosen careers. The activity not only encouraged creativity and confidence but also allowed students to explore their interests and future goals. The judges for Best Career Attire in Kindergarten to Elementary were Ms. Jeciel Delos Reyes, Mr. Jester Vann Caling, and Ms. Lovely May Engracial. The judges for Best Career Attire in Junior to Senior High School included Ms. Grace Ramos, Mr. Matthew Aldrich Baul, and Ms. Cazzanda Camelle Valdez. Outstanding participants were recognized through the awarding of Best Career Attire and Best Presenter certificates. The morning session concluded with closing remarks delivered by Mr. Besa.
The afternoon program was held at the IMCC Review Center and once again commenced with an opening prayer and remarks by Mr. Gian Angelo G. Besa. During this session, Grade 12 students were given the opportunity to explore their potential academic paths through the Campaign of IMCC-Main Departments. Representatives which included Deans, Professors, and Students from the College of Business Administration, College of Computer Studies, College of Radiologic Technology, College of Education, College of Hotel and Tourism Management, College of Criminology, College of Medical Technology, and College of Nursing and Midwifery introduced their respective programs and provided valuable information about the courses offered. They also guided students in making informed decisions as they prepare to pursue higher education as future first-year college students. The afternoon session concluded with closing remarks delivered by Mr. Besa.
The IMCC-BED Guidance Services Office extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this meaningful event. Special appreciation is given to the dedicated team of teachers, judges, faculty, and staff of IMCC-BED, the supportive Principal, Ma’am Meriben M. Duque, the respective College Deans and staff of IMCC-Main, and the IMCC President, Dr. Royce S. Torres, for their continued support and encouragement.
The event was made possible through the dedication, commitment, and teamwork of the Peer Facilitators Club, headed by its President Ms. Iftisham Ampang, together with the IMCC-BED Guidance Services Office, headed by Mr. Gian Angelo G. Besa.
The Career Guidance Day Celebration served as a meaningful platform for students to explore their aspirations, strengthen their confidence, and gain guidance for their future endeavors. Indeed, the event was a significant success for the IMCC-BED Guidance Services Office.
